Judicial Crisis Network launches ad campaign for federal appeals judge nominee from Louisiana

The right-leaning Judicial Crisis Network is boosting Kyle Duncan’s nomination to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals with a new six-figure ad campaign.

The conservative legal group is running ads for two weeks on television, radio, and online featuring Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry praising the Bayou State nominee for the southern federal appeals court based in New Orleans.

Landry praises Duncan’s “Louisiana values” and lauds Duncan for “protecting our religious liberty” as an advocate before the Supreme Court representing the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty in the Hobby Lobby case about Obamacare’s contraception coverage requirements.

“In Kyle Duncan, President Trump selected one of the best lawyers of his generation,” said Carrie Severino, Judicial Crisis Network chief counsel and policy director, in a statement.

“He’s a Louisiana native who has served his state with distinction as its solicitor general, and he will make Louisiana proud as a federal judge. Kyle’s brilliance combined with his humility and integrity will serve him well on the 5th Circuit. I’m proud to call Kyle a friend, and I look forward to a speedy confirmation.”
