Trump compliments agencies’ ‘TEAMWORK’ fighting against Hurricane Harvey’s ‘record rainfall’

President Trump touted the coordinated response to Hurricane Harvey while the storm continued to dump buckets of rain on southeastern Texas Saturday evening.

“Wonderful coordination between Federal, State and Local Governments in the Great State of Texas – TEAMWORK! Record setting rainfall,” Trump said.

At least one person is dead and at least 12 others reported injured already from the storm, but officials have said they’re not able to get to most of the areas affected by Harvey.

The storm made landfall Friday night as a Category 4 storm. The winds have slowed down, making Harvey a tropical storm, but it has stalled over Texas as it unloads downpours on the area. The National Hurricane Center reported the storm is stalled in its latest update at 5 p.m.

Up to two feet of rain is expected in much of southeast Texas between now and Thursday, raising flooding concerns.

Tornadoes have also been spotted in the area, per videos on social media.
