Facebook announced on Thursday they permanently banned several controversial figures from their site for being “dangerous,” according to CNN. The people banned from the site include: Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, InfoWars host Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, Paul Nehlen, and Paul Joseph Watson.
The ban means they have removed not just their personal accounts, but also their fan pages, and any groups affiliated with them.
“We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology,” a Facebook spokesperson told CNN Business. “The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today.”
