Oakland Mills High School students will have an opportunity to learn about the world of real estate, thanks to a partnership between the school and local Realtor Matt Fein, owner of The Fein Properties Team at Keller Williams Realty in Ellicott City.

Students will learn about buying and selling homes and career opportunities in the real estate field through class presentations and other activities, according to the partnership.

Fein has also agreed to donate $1,000 to sponsor “free throw” competitions at the high school during home varsity basketball games and will also help purchase new uniforms for the boys? basketball team.

“This is something I?ve wanted to do for a long time, to help out the community where I grew up and the high school I attended,” said Fein.

The Howard County Public School System partners with local businesses and community organizations to enhance students? educational experiences. Students have participated in internships and job shadowing.
