AOC says Trump committed ‘impeachable offense’ for call with Brad Raffensperger

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed President Trump for a phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger regarding the state’s election results, saying it was an “impeachable offense.”

“I absolutely think it’s an impeachable offense, and if it was up to me, there would be articles on the floor quite quickly,” the New York Democrat said Sunday. “He is attacking our very election.”

Other members of the far-left “Squad” also said it was an impeachable offense.

“This is clearly an impeachable offense and I believe there is nothing under the law giving Trump immunity from criminal process and indictment for this conduct. The law and order party is a farce,” Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted.

“Ever notice this forever impeached president cannot help but project himself with others? ‘Rigged’ elections, ‘highly improper,’ and ‘extraordinarily’ corrupt all can be adjectives for this disgraced and outgoing president,” Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib tweeted.

In the call, the Washington Post reported that Trump urged Raffensperger to reexamine the election and find 11,780 votes to overturn the state’s results to his favor.

“You should want to have an accurate election. And you’re a Republican,” Trump said. “You know what they did, and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal offense, and you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk.”

“So, look, all I want to do is this: I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state,” Trump said.
