A woman suffered injuries after she was tased during a kidnap attempt in Potrero Hill early this morning.
The female victim was walking near the intersection of 17th and Alabama street just after 1 a.m. today when a man driving a van pulled up beside her and asked for directions, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
A second man in the vehicle jumped out and attempted to force the woman into the van, police said. When the victim resisted, the suspect took out a taser and shocked her, forcing her to fall to the pavement.
After the botched kidnap attempt, the suspects then fled westbound in their van on 17th Street, police said.
No suspects have been arrested, and the case is under investigation.
The woman suffered injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
