At his father’s Thursday night rally, Donald Trump Jr. prompted a new chant directed at Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: “AOC sucks.”
He started the chant during President Trump’s event in Grand Rapids, Mich., after calling the freshman New York representative’s lack of political knowledge “scary.”
“Think about the fact that every mainstream leading Democratic contender is taking the advice of a freshman congresswoman who three weeks ago didn’t know the three branches of government,” the president’s eldest son said to the crowd. He was most likely referring to the moment a few months ago when Ocasio-Cortez called the three branches of government the “three chambers.”
“I don’t know about you guys, but that’s pretty scary,” Trump continued.

For about 15 seconds after his comments, the crowd chanted, “AOC sucks.”
Trump said their chant wasn’t “very nice” but added that “neither is what that policy would do to this country.” He was likely talking about the Green New Deal, the environmental plan packed with progressive policies, which Ocasio-Cortez co-sponsored in the House.
