‘His head throbs all the time’: Harvey Weinstein hospitalized after being sentenced to 23 years in prison

Harvey Weinstein is back in the hospital.

The disgraced movie mogul was having chest pains after he was sentenced to 23 years in prison on Wednesday, according to his spokesman.

“Rikers [Island] staff decided for safety to send him back to Bellevue [Hospital] now,” his spokesman Juda Engelmayer said. “He will be evaluated and likely will stay overnight. We appreciate the care and concern of the Department of Corrections officers and staff.”

Weinstein, who was convicted of rape and sexual assault, was taken to the hospital in late February after he was found guilty.

He underwent a heart procedure last week to insert a stent to alleviate blockage. On Monday, Weinstein’s publicist said he was injured during a fall at Rikers Island.

“Harvey says his head throbs all the time and thinks he has a concussion. He has not been officially diagnosed,” Engelmayer said.
