Dennis Prager: Trump is the ‘greatest friend Jews have had since Harry Truman’

Speaking with Fox and Friends, Dennis Prager claimed that President Trump is the “greatest friend Jews have had since Harry Truman.” The radio host and founder of Prager University, an online nonprofit organization that creates conservative videos, joined the program to discuss the president’s signing of a bill to fight anti-Semitism on college campuses in America.

Last week, Trump issued an executive order that classified the Jewish people as an ethnic group and granted protections against anti-Semitism on college campuses. Universities across the country have seen a recent rise in anti-Semitic demonstrations, highlighted by the boycott, divest, and sanctions protests.

“The Left’s taking over of college campuses has increased anti-Semitism to an unprecedented degree in American history,” Prager said. “The Left, not liberals, the Left, everywhere they go, they introduce hate.”

In May of 2018, Trump marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of Israel by moving the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Though his predecessors campaigned to enact similar reform, Trump became the first president to follow through with his promise.

Trump has faced anti-Semitic criticism throughout his administration, specifically in the days and weeks that followed the death of Heather Heyer at the Unite the Right march in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Prager also criticized New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, saying he is “perhaps the most hysterical writer in the United States published anywhere.”
