A 23-year-old Baltimore man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for beating his girlfriend?s 2-year-old daughter to death.
Donald Washington pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Oct. 27, 2005. He was sentenced Friday.
Prosecutors said Washington admitted hitting Andrea Carroll-Butler several times with his fist on Sept. 23, 2004, at the home he shared with the toddler and her mother. The medical examiner ruled Andrea died due to blunt-force trauma.
