Pence shrugs off sinking poll numbers amid rocky week

Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence cautioned that it’s too early to write off Donald Trump’s chances of winning in November despite new poll numbers showing Hillary Clinton to be leading by a significant margin.

In an interview with “TODAY Show” host Savannah Guthrie, Pence cautioned that the race is still in its early stages and that the only poll that “really matters” is on Nov. 8. New polls are showing Trump to be losing by double-digit margins, including new surveys by Fox News and McClatchy that show Clinton to be leading by 10 and 15 points, respectively.
