D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray has scheduled a series of town hall meetings across the city to discuss his fiscal 2012 budget proposal.

One briefing will be held in each of the city’s wards, beginning in Ward 8 on Monday. Gray’s budget proposal, released earlier this month, calls for $5.924 billion in spending, an increase of $300 million from the current budget. It raises taxes and fees to generate $127 million and calls for $187 million in spending cuts.
