Two National Guard members were wounded after shots were fired early Sunday morning in Minneapolis at a city Police Department neighborhood security team.

The Minnesota National Guard said the drive-by shooting happened at approximately 4:19 a.m. local time when a light-colored SUV fired several shots at a team of Guard and law enforcement officers providing neighborhood security amid the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who is charged with killing George Floyd, a black man, last May.
