Britney Spears signed a $15 million book deal to write a tell-all memoir, according to a report.
Spears, the pop singer who was recently released from a 13-year conservatorship, reportedly signed the deal with Simon & Schuster.
A publishing insider told Page Six that a vicious bidding war played out for Spears. “The deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.”
The deal comes as Spears was finally freed from the shackles of her conservatorship, granted to her father, Jamie Spears, in 2008.
She has been vocal on social media about her displeasure with sister Jamie Lynn Spears’s book and interviews with other family members.

“Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview !!!” she said in an Instagram post in October.
A judge ended the yearslong conservatorship in November, allowing Spears to control her own life.
The “Free Britney” movement, comprising fans who believed the conservatorship was a miscarriage of justice, brought national attention to the strange arrangement, even catching the eye of multiple politicians.

“The Britney Spears conservatorship has brought to light real issues with conservatorship law that should shock every American. If the conservatorship process can deprive someone like Ms. Spears, someone with immense celebrity, immense wealth, immense material success, of her fundamental liberties, then what chance does the average American have?” Sen. Ted Cruz said in a judiciary hearing in September.
