Meet the new MontCo schools chief

The new superintendent of Montgomery County is having a meet-and-greet with parents for the second night this week.

Head over to Silver Spring’s Montgomery Blair High School on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. gathering with Joshua Starr, who is taking over for retiring schools chief Jerry Weast on July 1.

Not a parent, student, or staff member? The event is open to the community as well.

Starr is currently the head of public schools in Stamford, Conn., a district one-tenth the size of Montgomery but comparable in its diversity.
