Liberal commentator Keith Olbermann, who once hosted a primetime show on MSNBC, said his former colleague Matt Lauer had a reputation as a problematic employee.
Olbermann, who has a storied history in the media jumping from job to job after repeated clashes with management, said on Twitter that Lauer was a miserable co-worker. Lauer was ousted Wednesday as anchor of NBC’s “Today.”
“Matt Lauer was remorsely vindictive and tyrannical to everyone at NBC News and management repeatedly enabled him and buried the issue,” said Olbermann, who was reportedly fired from MSNBC and the defunct Current TV over hostilities and conflicts with executives at both companies. Olbermann has said he left both jobs on his own.
Sheesh, this is what I get for arranging to not have to look at twitter all morning 😉

NBC announced earlier Wednesday Lauer had been dismissed from the network over allegations of sexual misconduct.
