Boss takes battle ax to worker

Talk about a boss stuck in the Dark Ages.

A Frederick business owner was charged with slashing his employee with a medival-style battle ax, reports the Frederick News-Post.

Police said 44-year-old Andrew Scalera, a painting contractor, became enraged after the employee denied stealing quarters from the boss. Scalera began to choke the employee, then left and returned with a battle ax.

The employee grabbed a can of pepper spray and tried to use it as Scalera swung the weapon, slashing a 2-inch cut in the worker’s arm and chipping a bone.
