HBO’s cancels ‘Luck’ after string of horse deaths

After the third horse death during production, HBO has chosen to cancel “Luck,” ending production on the horse racing show. It had already been picked up for a second season, and filming had already begun. The network made the decision, along with producers Michael Mann and David Milch. There are two episodes left in the current first season, both of which will air. The show starred Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte and Dennis Farina.
