Mel Gibson seen saluting Trump at UFC match

Film director and actor Mel Gibson was spotted saluting former President Donald Trump at Saturday’s UFC 264 match.

Gibson, Trump, and other celebrities were packed among the large crowd at T-Mobile Arena for the highly anticipated match between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.

Video footage from the event emerged on TikTok Monday, showing what appeared to be the Passion of the Christ director making a salute gesture at the former president.

Gibson is difficult to spot in the crowd in the TikTok footage. However, press photos captured of the Academy Award-winning director and displayed on Getty Images show him wearing what appeared to be the same black-collared shirt and necklace during the event, according to Getty Images.

It is not immediately clear whether Gibson and Trump had any interaction at Saturday’s match or whether the former president noticed Gibson’s apparent salute.

Trump’s arrival to the arena was met by a mix of cheers and boos as he walked through the crowd, according to videos posted on social media.

Other celebrities in attendance included singer Justin Bieber, actress Megan Fox, and comedian Dave Chappelle.
