Country music singer Jake Owen said the Las Vegas shooter who killed at least 50 people at a concert Sunday night was easily able to pick off victims from his room in the Mandalay Bay hotel, and says he fired at the crowd for more than 10 minutes.
“It’s like shooting fish in a barrel from where he was,” Owen told CNN. “I feel so bad for these people.”

Owen said it didn’t take long for the crowd to figure out they were being fired upon.
“It was ringing off the top of the stage,” he said. “You could hear it hitting trailers, people scattering. It was chaos.”
“I never, and don’t ever want to be part of anything like this ever again,” Owen added.
Owen said he was in the crowd listening to Jason Aldean’s set, and said there was “no doubt an automatic sounding rifle or machine gun.”
He said he and his crew ran back to his tour bus, and the shooting continued for several minutes longer.
“This shooting was going on for at least 10 minutes,” he said. “It was nonstop.”
