Trump: Next target of the Russia ‘witch hunt’ could be Barron Trump

President Trump on Monday congratulated his son-in-law Jared Kushner for defending himself against accusations he colluded with Russia, but joked that his underage son could be the next person to be accused of working with the Russians to win the election.

“Jared Kushner did very well yesterday in proving he did not collude with the Russians. Witch Hunt. Next up, 11 year old Barron Trump!” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.

Kushner met with the Senate Intelligence Committee in a closed-door session Monday. He publicly addressed reporters outside the White House about his actions.

“I did not collude, nor know of anyone else in the campaign who colluded, with any foreign government,” Kushner said in his written statement. “I had no improper contacts. I have not relied on Russian funds to finance my business activities in the private sector. I have tried to be fully transparent with regard to the filing of my SF-86 form, above and beyond what is required. Hopefully, this puts these matters to rest.”

Kushner will meet Tuesday with members of the House Intelligence Committee.
