A man was shot dead by police after he went on a rampage and rammed his car into a Chick-fil-A in Lincoln, Nebraska, before chasing after customers.
An employee at the restaurant told the Lincoln Journal Star that a guy “just went off.” The man started flipping tables and throwing trays before he was confronted and left the restaurant.
He proceeded to ram his truck into the building before getting out of his car and chasing after customers. A police officer who was in the drive-thru eventually shot the man.
The man repeatedly yelled, “It’s just a sandwich!” during the incident according to a witness on the scene.
Police and emergency crews responded to the event around 1 p.m. CST. Authorities confirmed the suspect is dead, and an investigation has begun into what initiated the event.
