Various reports of orphans stranded in Ukraine have been popping up during the incursion.

“Our family has been trying to adopt a young boy from Ukraine this past year,” Anita Lupekha wrote Tuesday on Instagram. “With the war going on the process has been postponed.”

Instagram influencer Lina Kay has been documenting her experience volunteering at a Ukrainian orphanage amid the war.

“Every day a new need arises,” Kay wrote Wednesday. “Every day we ask the question of how far this war will go. Every day we look at our resources and see where we can make an impact for even just one child or family.”
