Missing Chantilly teen found in Tennessee

A 14-year-old girl from Chantilly who had been missing since December was located Friday night in Tennessee, WBIR in Knoxville reports.

Loudoun County authorities had been searching for Jennifer K. Sanford since Dec. 2, when she was last seen at her home before leaving for school.

Jennifer appeared to be in good health when she was found late Friday, a Knoxville police officer told the television station.

Authorities say Jennifer gave no indication that she would be leaving and it wasn’t clear why she left her home. She was believed to have been traveling with a 20-year-old acquaintance.
