Americans are more concerned with healthcare costs than terrorists

A Fox News poll released Wednesday night found Americans are more concerned about the price of healthcare than being attacked by Islamic terrorists.

A net 85 percent of registered voters are “extremely” or “very concerned” about the cost of healthcare, according to the June 26-28 poll that had a 3 percent margin of error. That number is up 4 percentage points from earlier this month.

But attacks by Islamic terrorists ranked fourth with 78 percent.

Americans are second-most concerned about the economy. A net 84 percent are very worried about it, a 6-point jump from last year.

The poll found an 11-point surge among those who are concerned about gun laws.

Republicans and Democrats are widely divided over the greater threat. A net 92 percent of Republicans said they are most worried about Islamic terrorism while that did not make it into the top three issues among Democrats and was below 80 percent. Climate change, the economy and healthcare topped terrorism fears for Democrats.
