Former Vice President Joe Biden has another presidential run in him, said his brother during a call to a radio show Wednesday.
During an interview with SiriusXM’s “The Michael Smerconish Program,” Biden’s youngest brother, Frank, said “absolutely” when asked if the former vice president had “one more run in him.”
“Why anyone would think otherwise, I don’t know. And there are a whole lot of people down here in Florida looking forward to it,” Frank Biden said.
Biden was considering running for president in the 2016 election, but decided against it in part because of the death of his son, Beau, from brain cancer.
“You know, you have a tendency to deify people when they die, and in Beau’s case, the accolades are all true,” Frank said during the call. “Joe was … you have to wonder how my lovely brother can put his feet on the floor every morning with the losses he’s endured. And that speaks to his character.”
Biden started a political action committee called American Possibilities PAC last week, signaling he may be preparing for a 2020 presidential run.
