Trump aide Dan Scavino slams Mitch McConnell for ‘more excuses’ after Obamacare repeal defeat

Top President Trump communications aide Dan Scavino on Wednesday blasted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for saying Trump’s expectations of Congress are too high after Senate Republicans’ last failure to repeal Obamacare.

“More excuses. @SenateMajLdr must have needed another 4 years — in addition to the 7 years — to repeal and replace Obamacare,” Scavino tweeted.

McConnell earlier this week said Trump has “excessive expectations” for Congress having never been in “this line of work before.” Three Republicans defected from McConnell to defeat the Senate’s “skinny” Obamacare repeal plan late last month.

Fox News host Sean Hannity also criticized McConnell’s remarks in his own tweet.

“YOU are a WEAK, SPINELESS leader who does not keep his word and you need to Retire!” Hannity tweeted.
