Jared Kushner promises ‘no drama’ and ‘no leaks’ during Trump second term

White House adviser Jared Kushner predicted a smoother second term for President Trump if he wins reelection in November.

“There’s no leaks. There’s no drama. I would say it’s high-competence, low-drama,” the president’s son-in-law told a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday about Trump’s 2020 campaign. “Everything is very efficiently run. And I think that’s exemplary of how President Trump would run his second term in office.”

Kushner said the administration has “doubled and tripled down” on good ideas while discarding bad ones, which has allowed it to run more efficiently. While Trump has seen fewer leaks from his White House since the beginning of his term, he has recently pointed the finger at congressional Democrats when information was leaked.

Last week, the president accused Rep. Adam Schiff of leaking a report that Russia is interfering in the 2020 presidential election to the benefit of Sen. Bernie Sanders’s campaign for the Democratic nomination.

“Adam Schiff and his group, they leaked it to the papers. As usual, they ought to investigate Adam Schiff for leaking that information,” he said.

Kushner, who is the senior adviser to the president, has helped Trump with passing major legislation, particularly criminal justice reform. The president referred to his son-in-law this month as the “father of criminal justice reform.”
