SEE IT: Breaking Bad actor says ‘stfu’ about gas prices ‘if you love Capitalism’

Actor Dean Norris took to Twitter Wednesday to blast people complaining about rising gas prices.

“You’re not getting ‘robbed’ at the pump,” Norris wrote. “You’re paying fair market price for a commodity. If you love Capitalism so much then stfu.”

Norris, of Breaking Bad fame, wrote the tweet just as the average national gas price reached over $5. In California, where the actor resides, the average cost is over $6.

The tweet went viral, receiving over 57,000 likes. Others on Twitter were quick to criticize the statement.

“Socialism is when cheap gas,” podcaster Noam Blum joked.

“It’s not a fair-market price if government purposely creates scarcity to drive up the price,” news editor David Harsanyi pointed out.

“Rich privileged actor wants to lecture everybody about how capitalism is the problem,” news editor Oliver Jia wrote. “Must be a day ending in y.”

“Not all actors are like this, I promise,” actor Matthew Marsden of Rambo, Resident Evil, and Transformers fame wrote.

As gas prices hit record highs, President Joe Biden recently wrote letters to seven refinery operators, blasting them for what he called “an unprecedented disconnect between the price of oil and the price of gas.” Biden promised he is working with world leaders to help with the oil shortage refineries are facing.
