Concession to Reality

The Center for American Progress concedes “the fact that Obama briefly bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.” Nobody there is terribly troubled by it, but just the fact that they are willing to concede it happened seems like kind of a big deal. I don’t read too much into the bow, but it’s the kind of rookie mistake that you get from a president who was a state senator five years earlier, who is desperate to “restore America’s image” by demonstrating his deep respect and appreciation for the customs and traditions and religion of our putative allies.
