Live updates: Occupy DC protesters arrested at McPherson Square

U.S. Park Police began arresting members of the Occupy DC demonstration on Sunday after protesters erected a wooden structure in McPherson Square.

Police ordered protesters who were inside the structure, which resembled a small house or barn, to leave around 10:30 a.m.  Just before noon, police began arresting protesters who refused their orders. More than 20 people scrambled onto the roof of the two-story structure, and police began cordoning off the area with yellow tape.

If protesters crossed the police line, they were promptly arrested. Around 3:30 p.m., police brought in metal barricades and began moving the crowd further away from the wooden structure.
