‘Green New Deal’ demands World War II-level mobilization against climate change

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released a “Green New Deal” resolution Thursday that calls on the United States to mobilize against climate change just the way the nation mobilized to fight World War II.

“[T]he House of Representatives recognizes that a new national, social, industrial, and economic mobilization on a scale not seen since World War II and the New Deal is a historic opportunity…” the resolution said.
