DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz explained to local reporters that President Barack Obama has not visited North Carolina more because we live in a “big country”:
“How come we haven’t seen more of President Obama himself in this state?” a local reporter asks the DNC chair.
“Well, we’ve had the first lady and the vice president and we’ve had significant surrogates,” Wasserman Schutlz answered. “I mean, I think North Carolina has had a non-stop stream of top tier surrogates. But we’re doing is — you know, it’s a big country.”
