A man was rejected in front of the Toronto Blue Jays home crowd after proposing to his girlfriend with a Ring Pop candy.
With cameras rolling during the Blue Jays’ game against the Boston Red Sox, the man can be heard telling his girlfriend he loves her before giving her a kiss and getting down on his knee. He then pulled out the Ring Pop candy.
At first, the girlfriend appeared pleasantly surprised. She then slapped him and threw her drink at him.
She “ring popped” him one! ??????

The video has spread across social media.
“She ‘ring popped’ him one!” said a Twitter user.
Another person wrote: “The Ring Pop was a classy touch. This screams ‘millennial calling attention to themselves for a weak YouTube video.'”
Others were not convinced of the proposal’s authenticity, however.
One Twitter user replied with a “fake” GIF.

Still, some people offered advice.
My guess, assuming it’s real and not acted, is that she felt embarrassed.
I can see how a woman might feel undervalued and/or unappreciated if she doesn’t see the humour in this, or maybe just not on such a big stage.
A more intimate proposal might have been more appropriate.
