An elderly Olney man was killed Wednesday night when he disrupted a burglary in his home, Montgomery County police said.
Police received a call at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday for a possible burglary in progress on the 3600 block of Martins Dairy Circle. When they arrived, police found Gerrano James Fato, 74, dead in his garage.
Preliminary investigation have found that Fato had just arrived home when he was confronted and shot by unknown suspects. There is no description of the suspects available.
