Local musicians will take the stage as part of the Lunchtime Music on the Mall program during the next two months. Violinist Clarice Labbe is slated to kick off the performances Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. near the Smithsonian Metro station (rescheduled because of Tuesday’s rain). D.C. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, whose office helped organize the program, said the performances will make the Mall “come alive” for tourists and residents during summer afternoons. The program will be on Tuesdays in June, then continue into July with performances every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. — Jacob Demmitt
