D.C. school board to educate on HIV/AIDS

Serious talk time for Ward 6 residents: The D.C. school board and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education is holding a workshop on HIV/AIDS awareness on Thursday evening.

Ward 6 school board rep Monica Warren-Jones will play hostess for the event, which is part of a series of workshops sponsored by the National Association of the State Boards of Education.

Parents and teens living in Ward 6 with any questions about HIV or AIDS should head to Eastern Senior High School at 6 p.m., where experts will answer questions and offer presentations.
