‘I was ahead of our times’: Trump mocks CHOP residents after they ‘BUILD A WALL’ in Seattle autonomous zone

President Trump mocked citizens of the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, formerly known as the CHAZ, who earlier this week built a wall demarcating occupied territory inside Seattle.

In a tweet sent Thursday afternoon, Trump congratulated “anarchists” in the zone who constructed a barrier wall after commandeering the area from city officials amid weeks of protests.

“First thing the anarchists did upon taking over Seattle was ‘BUILD A WALL,'” Trump tweeted. “See, I was ahead of our times!”

Trump, who surged to prominence in the Republican Party based on his border wall with Mexico pitch, appeared to take credit for CHOP residents and city officials using concrete barriers to build a wall between Seattle and the CHOP.

Trump criticized Mayor Jenny Durkan for allowing a part of Seattle to be occupied by “terrorists” and threatened to send in National Guard troops if local officials fail to tame an area that left-wing outlet Vox described as “leaderless” and “maintained by marginalized voices.”
