Does the White House make its own beer?
President Obama recently revealed that 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, for all its other attributes, is also a microbrewery. At Obama’s request, White House chefs in 2011 began brewing beer in three varieties: Honey Ale, Honey Porter and Honey Blonde Ale. The brews, favorites on the president’s campaign bus, are made with honey from a hive in first lady Michelle Obama’s White House garden.
