‘We all f— up’: Meghan McCain reveals Whoopi Goldberg apologized for telling her to ‘stop talking now’

The View host Meghan McCain acknowledged that her co-host Whoopi Goldberg apologized to her after the two engaged in a very heated moment last month.

The hosts of the show got into an angry confrontation on Dec. 16 in a conversation revolving around Trump administration officials refusing to testify in the House impeachment investigation and how Republican senators are reacting to it in comparison to President Bill Clinton’s impeachment and acquittal. The conservative pundit addressed the spat during a Wednesday night appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, which is hosted by Andy Cohen.

“It was rough. And I will say that she was having a bad day,” McCain, 35, stated, noting that Goldberg, 64, apologized both on- and off-stage. “We all f— up on the show. It’s live, it’s every day, and I forgive her, and I love her, and I could not do the show without her.”

“Whoopi is the anchor of the show and my life there, and she always picks us up when we’re down,” she added, explaining that she would leave the show if Goldberg did.

In the heated moment last month, McCain tried interjecting her voice into the conversation but could not get a word in over co-host Sunny Hostin. The conservative host blasted Hostin for not letting her speak when Goldberg tried going to a commercial break. McCain then quipped that the show never “wanted a conservative perspective on this show ever.”

“Girl, please stop talking!” Goldberg snapped. “Please stop talking now!” to which McCain said she wouldn’t “talk the rest of the show.”
