Fox News personality Abby Huntsman bid farewell to the cable news network on Sunday ahead of her move to ABC’s “The View.”
“The last three years have been the most transformative I think of my entire life. I have given my heart and soul to this place, and to you guys. And in return, you’ve given it back to me and so have our viewers,” Huntsman said during the closing moments of Sunday’s episode of “Fox and Friends Weekend.”
“This is a really tough thing. I’m moving onto the next chapter, mainly to be with my family and to spend time with them,” Huntsman continued. “I just want to thank everyone for being part of the show. I’m leaving you guys in great hands because the people I work with are the very best in the business.”
Huntsman’s jump to “The View” follows calls, including from “Fuller House” star and former panelist on the ABC daytime talk show Candace Cameron Bure, for better ideological balance on the program.
Huntsman, whose father is U.S. Russian ambassador and former Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, joined Fox News in 2015.
“We thank Abby for her contributions to Fox News and wish her the very best,” a Fox News spokeswoman said Sunday in a statement.
