Funeral arrangements have been made for the Prince George’s County police officer who died in a car crash while pursuing a suspect. Adrian Morris, 23, was killed in the line of duty on Aug. 20 and will be buried Tuesday after services at Woodstream Church in Mitchellville. A viewing will be held Monday at Borgwardt Funeral Home in Beltsville from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Morris was driving his cruiser in pursuit of a vehicle believed to have been involved in a theft when the cruiser ran off Interstate 95 in Beltsville and crashed into a ditch. Another officer in the passenger seat sustained injuries.
On Tuesday, police arrested one occupant of the pursuit vehicle, and the second suspect surrendered Thursday.
Morris was a native of Kingston, Jamaica, and had been on the force for 2 1/2 years.
