A Florida Republican says she is not voting for the GOP plan to repeal and partially replace Obamacare because it would leave too many people uninsured.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen tweeted Tuesday that she plans to vote no on the American Health Care Act, the GOP bill to repeal Obamacare. She is the latest Republican to pull support after a Congressional Budget Office estimate showed 14 million people wouldn’t have insurance under the plan next year.
“As written the plan leaves too many from my #SoFla district uninsured,” she tweeted.
As #AHCA stands, it will cut much needed help for #SoFla‘s poor + elderly populations. Need a plan that will do more to protect them (2/2)

Ros-Lehtinen added the legislation would cut much-needed help for her district’s poor and elderly populations.
Ros-Lehtinen is the latest Republican from a blue or swing state to pull support for the bill, which already had opposition from more conservative House lawmakers for not going far enough.
Rep. Rob Wittman, R-Va., said on Monday that he was concerned about the estimates on people losing coverage and said he wouldn’t support the bill.
Rep. Leonard Lance, R-N.J., has said the bill will likely fail in the Senate and he won’t support it because of its poor chances, according to reports.
The CBO said Monday that 24 million people would not have insurance under the plan over the next decade, mainly because the plan would roll back the Medicaid expansion in 2020 and repeal the individual mandate.
