A private Instagram message sent to actress Amber Heard was leaked and translated from Arabic to reveal a marriage proposal.
The screengrab recording of the voice message appears to have been leaked by the sender himself, with his dialect seeming to point to Saudi Arabian nationality. This comes days after Heard’s verdict was announced, finding that she was partially defamed by ex-husband Johnny Depp, who won all of his defamation claims.
“Amber, since all doors are closing on you, you have no one except me to take care of you,” the anonymous man says, according to a translation. “I’ve noticed that some people hate and bully you. Therefore, I decided to marry you. May Allah bless us both. You are a blessing, but people don’t appreciate that. I am better than that old man.”

Heard has been inactive on her Instagram since she posted her reaction to the verdict. Her last post was liked over 430,000 times. She still has over 5.1 million followers and continues to grow her Twitter following of over 322,000.
When Depp posted a TikTok thanking his fans for their support, she issued a statement via her spokesperson but remained silent on social media.
“As Johnny Depp says he’s ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are moving backward,” the statement read. “The verdict’s message to victims of domestic violence is … be afraid to stand up and speak out.”

The actress was married to Depp from 2015 to 2016 and then went on to date Tesla CEO Elon Musk briefly. Today, she has a 1-year-old daughter of her own.
