‘Designated survivor’ for Trump’s speech: VA Secretary David Shulkin

The so-called “designated survivor” of the Trump administration during the president’s speech to Congress Tuesday night: David Shulkin, the secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Shulkin, according to the White House, is the person in the presidential line of succession who was selected to sit out the speech in the case of a catastrophic disaster at the Capitol.
