Farm and construction equipment seized from a Loudoun County bank manager convicted on fraud charges will be sold at auction on Friday.
The U.S. Marshals Service said the auction of items that belonged to 42-year-old Linda Tribby will be held in Richmond at 10 a.m. Friday.
Libby pleaded guilty to bank fraud in March, admitting that she stole money that she told Wachovia Banks clients was going into an account with tax-free interest. That account didn’t exist, and Tribby took control of the funds, fabricated balance statements to dupe the customers and used the money to buy cars, equipment and other items. In total, she defrauded customers of $14 million, according to court documents.
A Bobcat front loader, a Kubota tractor and a Bobcat snow blade are being auctioned Friday at Motley’s Richard Auto Auction, located at 3800 Deepwater Terminal Road. People can also place bids online at richmondaa.com.
Several of Libby’s cars were sold in November and earlier this month.
Proceeds from the items sold goes to the a Department of Justice fund that compensates crime victims.
Libby is serving a seven-year prison sentence.
