3 Fla. politicians mark Social Security’s birthday

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Three members of Congress from South Florida are marking the 79th anniversary of the passage of Social Security.

Representatives Alcee Hastings, Ted Deutch and Patrick Murphy are holding a hearing in West Palm Beach on Tuesday to mark the occasion and to stress their support for the program.
