Human Rights Campaign endorses Hillary Clinton

The Human Rights Campaign endorsed Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton early Tuesday morning.

“She has stood with us, and now it’s our turn. Her fight is our fight,” the LGBT rights group said in a statement.

“There is so much at stake for the LGBT community in the 2016 presidential election. Think of all the progress we’ve made under President Obama’s leadership and what could be rolled back,” the group’s website now reads, naming some of what has happened under the Obama administration. That includes the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision last summer to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide.
