Donald Trump said Monday that Hillary Clinton is being “very nasty” to men by suggesting she has an ability to handle men who “go off the reservation.”
“I think it’s a very nasty statement to men,” the Republican presidential front-runner said on CNN. “She has been taking a lot of heat from people for that statement.”
Clinton explained how she deals with men who act and speak like Trump.
“I have a lot of experience dealing with men who sometimes go off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak,” the Democratic presidential front-runner said in a CNN interview.
“If I made that statement, it would be front-page news,” Trump said of Clinton’s comments. “If I made that statement, it would be a big, big story.”
Trump said Clinton was offending Native Americans as well.
“She doesn’t do a very good job with men who get off the reservation,” he said. “The Indians have gone wild on that statement.”
Clinton, who could become the first female president, still doesn’t do well with women, Trump claimed. Trump has continually criticized Clinton for playing up her gender to get votes and support.
“Frankly, she doesn’t do very well with women. She is playing the woman card. If she didn’t play the woman card, she would have absolutely no chance of winning,” he explained. “I’m going to do a better job for women than Hillary can do. I haven’t started on Hillary yet. Based on her record, based on what she’s done, it should be really interesting.”
Prior to the CNN interview, Trump said much of the same on Twitter.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton said she is used to ‘dealing with men who get off the reservation.’ Actually, she has done poorly with such men!” he tweeted early Monday.
