As global reticence of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 passenger jetliner grows after a crash in Ethiopia that killed all 157 people on board, here is a list of the countries and airlines that have grounded or suspended its use.

Despite the sizable number of airlines suspending its use, the largest operators of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 are continuing to use the jet. Southwest Airlines is the largest carrier, with 31 planes. American Airlines has 22, GE Capital Aviation Services has 22, and Air Canada has 20.

Southwest Airlines said Tuesday it is working with passengers individually should they wish to re-book flights.

Legislators on both sides of the political spectrum have called for the Federal Aviation Administration to ground the plane, but despite the public blowback, Boeing and the FAA are standing by the safety of the jet.
